Wild mountain terrain is mostly protected by Triglav National Park and for that reason very unspoiled and unique. Exploring great terrains is only a part of this program. Apart from skiing great lines we will focus on the use of ice axes and crampons to approach technical lines, basic rope work (knots and use of climbing gear), abseiling and preparing anchors in snow and ice, have an extensive avalanche safety workshop and explore some great terrains our mountains have to offer.

Trip details:
Slovenia is small and big at the same time. Small country with Big Mountains and easy access to different terrains to ride. The town of Bled is the best base for ski touring with the proximity of the central Julian Alps and Karavanke range which are both ideal playgrounds. Skiing and mountaineering are the way of life in our Alpine region and our IFMGA guides are part of it, passion is what drives us chasing “the good stash” season after season since childhood and that is the key ingredient of being a true skier.
Accommodation & food
Cozy family run pension in Bled, with BB
Day 1
Transfer from the airport to Bled, getting settled and exploring the surroundings.
Day 2
Our guides will do their best to find the best terrain and snow for the day. Skills of the group, snow and weather factors are a big part in choosing a place to ski. Vogel ski resort with surrounding mountains is ideal for starting the week and getting to know each other. You can do an hour or a full day tour, steep or fun runs and end the day by the magnificent glacier lake in the valley. This day will be focused on renewing your knowledge on avalanche safety with an extensive workshop and practice on ART (avalanche rescue training) station. You will practice your existing skills on a polygon that simulates actual multy burial sitautions.
Day 3-6
Your guide will make day to day decision where to go. In the evenings you will have a briefing on what your next day objective will be and there are always a few options to choose from depending on conditions and your skills, so you can decide on what to choose together.
One of the following days we will focus on the use of ice axes and crampons to approach technical lines, basic rope work (knots and use of climbing gear), abseiling and preparing anchors in snow and ice. We can use a down day for this workshop and make the most of the good days for skiing and exploring the terrains.
Day 7
Transfer back to the airport
